Volunteering is fun, big time.

Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most enjoyable things you’ll ever do. Not to mention, one of the most fulfilling. You have the opportunity to help shape a child’s future for the better by empowering them to achieve their full potential. The best part is, it’s actually a lot of fun. You and your Little can share the kinds of activities you already like to do and learn how to do new things together.

Play sports together. Go on a hike. Read books. Eat a pizza with extra anchovies. Or just give some advice and inspiration. Whatever it is you enjoy, odds are you’ll enjoy them even more with your Little. Plus, you'll make a life changing impact and your life will be changed, too.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit everyone!

Community-Based: Bigs meet with the child they are matched with 3 to 4 times a month and choose activities they would like to do together.  Community-Based Bigs meet with their Little after school, on weekends and during the summer.  You and your Little will determine when to meet and what you will do each time you get together.  Community-Based mentors can volunteer as an individual...or you don't have to volunteer alone.  We also match couples or families with a Little Brother! To be a Community-Based Big you must be at least 21 years old, have a vehicle fully covered by insurance, and able to make a minimum 2 year commitment to your Little.

School Friends: School Friends Bigs meet with their Little once a week during the school year.   Bigs meet with their Little at the Little's school during the lunch hour or immediately after school.  The day and time Bigs meet with their Little will remain the same throughout the school year. To be a School Friends Big you must be at least 18 years old, and able to make a 4 semester commitment to your Little.

Volunteering just a few hours a month with a child can start something amazing. So why not apply to be a Big today. There are kids out there ready to get started. Are you?
